HDR stands for high dynamic range. HDR makes movies and shows in TVS look more alive by giving it perfect amount of Color, contrast and brightness. for example  HDR 10 the most popular HDR, the best HDR software is Dolby vision. Some demo videos of HDR exists in youtube like this one.
